Had to make my character again for this week’s theme,’Blindness’ . It was too good to pass up because Sidreic had all of his senses taken away from him out of jealousy and malice.

“What it was, whether man or beast, I could not tell…”

Lucy, barely conscious in her sleepwalking trance, has fallen into the clutches of Dracula, who disappears just as the pair are discovered by Mina. From across the churchyard, all Mina can see is a hulking shadow bending over Lucy… until she comes closer…

“I could see the seat and the white figure, for I was now close enough to distinguish it even through the spells of shadow. There was undoubtedly something, long and black, bending over the half-reclining white figure. I called in fright, “Lucy! Lucy!” and something raised a head, and from where I was I could see a white face and red, gleaming eyes.”

Week five of the 2018 Month of Fear challenge: “Truth”

Mina working through the night, transcribing journals, letters, and newspaper clippings to learn the truth of Count Dracula.
