the encyclopedia of celtic mythology and folklore:
↳ Labhraidh Luathlam ar ClebRuler of MAG MELL, the “plain of honey” where the trees were always loaded down with magical fruit and vats of mead could never be emptied, Labhraidh arranged for the hero CÚCHULAINN to spend time with Labhraidh’s wife’s sister, the lovely FAIRY QUEEN FAND. In return for this dalliance, Cúchulainn had to fight and defeat three warriors who were troubling Labhraidh. This bargain set in motion a love triangle, because Fnd was the only companion who tempted Cúchulainn to break faith with his wife, the peerless EMER.

Goddess of bees in Greek mythology
A deity possibly inherited into the Greek pantheon from earlier
Minoan culture, Melissa was a nymph who discovered and taught the use of honey and from whom bees were believed to have received their name.
DAPHNE was a Naiad-nymph of the river Ladon of Arkadia or the Peneios (Peneus) in Thessalia. She was loved by the god Apollon who pursued her until she grew exhausted and cried out to Gaia (Gaea) for help. The goddess transformed into a laurel tree which Apollon then adopted as his sacred plant.

Heavy is the heart that is hollow,
Whose pain can saturate even the most avaricious void.
O Galadrielic collapsar,
Ecstatic in its beauty,
Horrific in its devastation,
Starving on a promised feastOf a capture savoured like a caged flightless bird.
Give wings to your prey,
And lend it you strength.
Assure its willing surrender,
Irrevocably,
Embracing its soul with the lullabye of beasts.
TO THOSE MAKING NATIVE OCS
I see this a lot, no one has actual names, or any reference for names, that are legit Native American, varying among the tribes, for their characters.
Babynames.com and shit like that will give you names made up by white people.
However, I’ve got your solution.
Native-Languages is a good website to turn to for knowledge on a lot of native things, including native names. If you’re unsure about the names you’ve picked, they even have a list of made up names here!
Please don’t trust names like babynames.com for native names, they’re made up and often quite offensive to the cultures themselves.
Thank you!
