This fabric is outstanding with the celestial theme which was a favorite in the House of Worth from its inception. The textile was woven à la disposition with the stars in graduated sizes, especially to be used on a skirt. The magic of this dress is in the three different materials used to make the star pattern, woven into the textile with both a satin and velvet surface and an appliqué pattern in a slightly different color and texture. In the light the stars would twinkle as the wearer moved and the light caught the different textures of the stars. At the same time, the rhinestones would light up the bodice. (Met Museum)

For Sebastian (bb), could you give headcanons on them having the type of s/o who is kind of in their own world?The scholarly professor who daydreams a lot. That kind of personality but their very smart and can deliver on his level. For ex. They can sass him back. They can be working on their research the whole day but then cook up a storm. Basically, they break tradition by being an academic. The break those stereotypes by being talented in various fields. Sorry if this is too much.

  • We all know that Sebastian likes to watch people going about their daily lives.
  • He likes to watch people eat, to see how many times they chew before they swallow.
  • He likes to watch people under his guard sleep. He says it’s because it’s his duty to protect them from nightmares, but actually it’s because souls smell so much sweeter when the vessel is vulnerable.
  • He’d always watch you more closely than everyone else because you are, for all intents and purposes, a walking contradiction.
  • You daydream but you’re intensely aware of the world around you. You want to fit in but you break stereotypes. You’re smart but ditzy. You’re scared of demons but not of him.
  • You become one of his many reasons to stay on this realm.
  • Demons are possessive beings so if you were a daydreamer who lived inside their own mind constantly, he’d protect them as fiercely as a dragon hoarding its gold.
  • He would let them daydream, though he wouldn’t let them neglect their duties.
  • Sometimes, he would ask about your most frequently visited daydreams. He pretends he’s curious, and to a point, he is; but it’s also so that he can memorise your words and use them against you at a later date; to manipulate you into doing his bidding.
  • “Oh, but imagine how sad you would be to not achieve your goal because you wish to lay in bed watching Netflix all evening! What a waste of talent…”
  • When he’s in a foul mood, the household staff keep well out of his way. But you don’t. You poke him, prod him with your words, and when he snaps at you, you rise to the challenge as you meet all others.
  • He doesn’t scare you, he’s not supposed to, but sometimes you get a thrill knowing that this particular type of fire, playing with a demon, doesn’t burn you. 
  • You ignore stereotypes, you go out of your way to spite them, and Sebastian would be endlessly fascinated.
  • He’d always be watching, listening, studying you until he reaches a point of understanding…
  • Only for you to do something completely unexpected.
  • He loves you for the challenges you give him, and you love him for the ones he returns.
  • It’s, ironically enough, a love made in heaven, consumed by hell… And you both enjoy every moment of it.
