i know ive talked about this before but we literally have no reason not to bring the original gay flag made in the 70s by gilbert baker back to regular use!
the pink originally symbolized sex and the turquoise was for magic/art and it would just be really cool if we could bring both the stripes back into regular use again since there wasn’t any significance behind the removal of the stripes and we’re perfectly capable of mass producing flags with all the stripes again!
if anyone is interested, in 2017, shortly before he died, gilbert baker added a 9th stripe in lavender to represent diversity, partly in response to trump’s election. while i dont expect it to gain any kind of widespread usage, it is an interesting fact!
eyyyy so I finally got to read jekyll and hyde in an english class and hoo boy this was the result of it all:
me accidentally saying what the heck-yll jekyll in class
“If he be Mr. Hyde, I shall be Mr. Seek” is the best literary pun don’t fight me on that
someone telling the professor “I really see how hyde could be compared to the hulk, y’know?” please end it all hyde is short and not green cut it out my dude
desperately wanting to tell people about The Glass Scientists, but no one in my group actually read the book
does Henry Jekyll is gay?
and to top it all off someone played a clip from the cheesy as hell 1986 animated special where Jekyll looks like fiddleford mcgucket
A town full of ghouls? No problem. The first episode of Hellsing and Hellsing Ultimate were so perfect for setting the tone and making a lasting impactful first impression. I have been longing to try something like this for a long time. The boyfriend described it as “meta”. Maybe do one for Anderson next?
