This is a somewhat detailed idea I’ve had for a while of Sebastian having a partner who is half demon, therefore weaker than other demons, however, there blood and soul is super valuable since they are half human so Sebastian makes it his job to protect them.

✰ After two years of taking care of a helpless child Sebastian believed himself to be beyond capable of taking care of a partner with such a high value amongst demons. However, his SO is not a helpless noble and does not wish to be dressed or bathed by him. They require his protection from other demons and nothing more.
✰Sebastian will soon find that fighting off gluttonous demons takes far more skill than fighting a horde of the undead in the middle of the Atlantic.
✰Despite being a demon, Sebastian still has his polite facade to keep up. He would in no way try to keep his partner locked up in order to keep them safe. Instead he would suggest that his SO be cautious when alone or may request that he be allowed to accompany them when in public.
✰ He is very observant of everyone his partner associates with. If they are not demons than he would not be too cautious, however, he would feel a little uneasy allowing demons to get too close. Any suspicious characters would be questioned endlessly.
✰He will do his best to stay closer to them, not just when out in public, but when they are alone. Sebastian is not one for cuddling but he will under the excuse that he is merely securing their safety.
✰ After years of being with his partner Sebastian still does not completely understand his partners habits. He does not know if they require human food or if they choose to eat it only because they enjoy the taste. Instead of asking them endless questions about what makes them demon or human, he chooses to prepare them the same meals he prepares for Ciel.
✰ Sebastian also fails to understand how human illnesses affect his partner so in order to be safe he makes sure they are bundled up in the winter and well hydrated in the summer.
